Opened to much fanfare among fashionistas in 2004, this Philippe Starck designed hotel lives up to what has become a much publicized reputation. Built into a historic grain silo in Puerto Madero, the Faena boasts a design unique to its fantastic blend of elegant suites and shared dining, bar and entertainment areas, to which the title Universe refers.
Throughout the hotel, Edwardian elegance meets country chic, with metal sheeting, peeling paint, ornamental plaster ceiling molding and antique Queen Anne style cabinets but a handful of the delightful details that make the Faena one of a kind. Further touches unfold within the spacious rooms, where heavy velvet curtains drop at the touch of a button, state of the art entertainment settings play desired media and the enormous size of the bathrooms never fails to impress.
