Brazil's The Northeast
The Northeast
There is something distinctly unique about Brazil’s Northeast region. Here, the beaches extend a bit further, the history seems a bit closer, the cuisine stimulates a bit stronger and the music sounds a bit clearer. In fact, everything in the Northeast seems a bit more refined. Possibly, it is because the Northeast is the largest producer of two of Brazil’s non exportable products…sand and sunshine.
No matter what the reason, the Northeast calls to visitors’ more relaxed whims with an elegant tune of history, art and of course, sparkling sands. Spend several days in the delightful town of Salvador, where the history is almost as pungent as the flavors radiating from the local restaurants. Enjoy the musical notes of the region and experience a sound as distinctly Afro Brazilian as the culture that resonates throughout the Northeast. And imbibe in the many forms of art and entertainment for which this region is known as you dance the Capoeira on the street corner and party with happy souls during Carnaval.
