Peru's Peruvian Amazon

Pacaya Samiria National Park

Difficult to reach, but well worth the effort, the Pacaya Samiria National Park is Peru’s second largest reserve. Situated at the confluence of the Maranon and Ucayali rivers, the Pacaya Samiria encompasses more than 20,000sqkm of land, almost the size of El Salvador. Almost 30,000 people live inside the park, and the rangers of Pacaya Samiria work diligently to balance the needs of the native residents with the ongoing effort to protect Peru’s greatest natural resource.

Wander the many natural wonders of the park, or visit with those fortunate to reside in such breathtaking beauty. Throughout the park, find several exquisite rainforest lodges which offer superior accommodations in a land defined by its wild surroundings.
